The presidency says a fake text of
President Muhammadu Buhari’s speech to be delivered at the United Nations
General Assembly on Tuesday is making the rounds online.
The details of the content of the
‘fake speech’ was however not given by the Presidency.
President Buhari is currently in New
York for the 72nd General Assembly of the United Nations, where he is expected
to address the body.
The President is also expected to hold
a lunch meeting with President Donald Trump of the United States of America,
along with other world leaders, according to a statement by the presidency at
the weekend.
During the General Assembly, Nigeria
will participate in high-level meetings on Prevention of Sexual Exploitation
and Abuse: Building Momentum for Change,’ the Commonwealth Heads of Government
Meeting, organised by the African Union (AU) under the theme “Roadmap on the
Demographic Dividend: from Commitment to Action,” among others.
