Ogun to build on gains of last year Youth Games

Ogun State government says all is set for the State to build on its gains of last year's National Youth Games, in Ilorin.
The State Commissioner for Youth and Sport, Honourable Moruf Afolabi Afuape, who made this known while addressing the State contingents to this Year's edition of the Games, before their departure for Ilorin, where the Game was also held last year, said 19 of the State athletes were invited to the National camp, after last year's edition.
Afuape said the State government and the State contingents are prepared to ensure that more than 19 athletes are invited to the National camp this year.
The commissioner said the contingent is also eyeing the first position at the Games, as it came second last year, behind Delta State.
Ogun State was the only State from the SouthWest, that competed at the Games last year.
