The Baddest guy that ever liveth, Olamide Baddoo, gave a
dope performance at the Grand opening of the Providence centre, located at the
RockCity of Abeokuta yesterday.
The day started gradually around 4pm with the heavy presence
of security operatives, such as officers and men of the Nigeria Security and
Civil Defence Corp,Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corp(TRACE),
Police, DSS among others, as well as presence of many security dogs at
strategic locations.
The red carpet followed, while the main event started around
10:30pm, at the Eagle Hall of the Centre, with a live band that performed
different songs of many great artistes, such Yinka Ayefele, Wizkid, Tecno,
Davido, Dbanj, Pasuma, Saheed Osupa, among others.
This was followed by the introduction of the hosts for the
night, Dr Smile and Bash, by Emmannuel, popularly known as Emmanuel Da Preacher.
Some upcoming artistes and comedians like ATM and Remote,
were also on stage to add to the fun of the night.
Then the great moments was on when Alapomeji, Adigun Oba
ara, 9ICE went on stage, dishing out hits after hits, with DJ Jimmy Jatt on the
two wheels of steels and the audience craving for more
This was followed by a grand breaking performance by
Olamide, who dish out hits back to back, with the hall going crazy as he rocks
the stage.
It was a well attended event, with dignitaries led by the
Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun, who stepped into the hall at exactly 10:23
pm in company of his wife, Olufunso Amosun.
Other dignitaries include the Speaker of the State house of
Assembly, Rt. Honourable Suraj Adekunbi and his wife, the Alake of Egba land,
Oba Aremu Gbadebo, Service Chiefs and some of the State Commissioners,
particularly the Commissioner for Information, world famous Dayo D1 Adeneye.
