Customs boss convoy attacked, as he states that those behind the attack will be arrasted

Suspected smugglers have attacked the convoy of the Ogun State Comptroller of Customs, Sani Madugu.
Madugu who made this known to newsmen today, at the State Customs command border post, at Idiroko, said the attack took place at the Ijako axis of the old Abeokuta/Lagos expressway, while one of the vehicles in his convoy was badly damaged.
He added that his convoy was stocked in traffic, at the scene of the attack, with the suspected smugglers taking advantage of the situation to attack his convoy.
He explained that he had to call for reinforcement from his command and the operatives of the Nigeria Police Force in the area, to put the situation under control, while the suspected smugglers fled.
Madugu said none of his officers and men were injured during the attack, noting that investigation is on, to fish out the suspected smugglers who took part in the attack and ensure that they face the full wrath of the law.
He however warned suspected smugglers in the state to desist from attacking his officers and men, as well as quit the smuggling business.
