The Ogun State
Government says it will commit its 2018 budget to socio-economic development of
the state’s 20 Local Government and 37 Local Council Development Areas, as part
of its agenda at promoting the wellbeing of the people at the grassroots.
Governor Ibikunle
Amosun made this known at the State Treasury Board meeting on year 2018 budget
held at the Obas Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the State capital.
Amosun said much
had been done in the area of infrastructural development in urban areas, while
developmental projects would now be shifted to rural areas to achieve the set
agenda of his administration on rural development.
He urged heads of Ministries and parastatals in the state to come up with feasible advice, suggestions and contributions that would promote good governance in the State, commending the collaborative efforts of both the development partners of the State and other stakeholders.
