The Lagos State Government
has cancelled its 3-Day Retreat by the members of the state executive council
and permanent secretaries, following the sudden death of the Special Adviser on
Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Deji Tinubu at Jubilee Chalets Epe, venue
of the retreat.
Reactions have continued
to trail the demise of the ‘sportsman’, who was said to have slumped and died
during a football match at the retreat.
Tinubu reportedly
slumped while playing five aside match with fellow participants after the Day-1
session at the retreat.
The retreat which
commenced on the 25th of January 2018 was scheduled to end on Saturday, 27th
January, 2018.
It was learnt that
immediately he slumped, doctors and nurses rushed to give him first aid before
he was hurriedly taken to the General Hospital, Epe where he was confirmed
dead.
It was also learnt that the
State government is also waiting for the autopsy report, to unravel the
circumstances that led to his death.![]() |
