The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) says it is on
the verge of creating a scheme, called NFF Foundation.
The President of the Federation, Amaju Pinnick who
made this known to newsmen in Abeokuta, said that 30% of the money realized
from the Foundation through the Federation’s sponsors will be dedicated to the
welfare of Nigeria ex-internationals and some stakeholders.
Pinnick said that the NFF 1st Vice
President, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi has been saddled with the responsibility of
seeing to the welfare and affairs of Nigeria ex-international, Femi Opabunmi,
who is currently battling with loss of eyesight, while reiterating the fact that
Ex-international, Wilson Oruma cu
rrently lives with him.The NFF boss said that anybody that has donned the green-white-green colour, even if it is once is as important as any ex-international.
