The Ogun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalist have paid for the land of the proposed Ogun Journalists Estate at Mosunmore, Kobape, Ogun State.
The Secretary of the Council, Soji Amosu, in a statement said the Chairman of the Council, Wole Shokunbi while presenting the Cheque to the Baale of the village, Chief Waheed Toriola expressed happiness that the long time dream of the Union has been realized.
According to the statement, Shokunbi also thanked the Baale and the land owners for cooperating with the Union in ensuring that the project became a reality.
Shokunbi however enjoined the union members who have not paid for their plots of land to do so, without further delay.
In response, the Baale thanked the union for deciding to have its Journalist estate in his domain, noting that this will enhance quick development of the area.
The Baale assured the union that the land sold to the Journalists is free of any encumbrance normally experienced in some areas.
