Kuyebi did the formal declaration
when he stormed the APC secretariat with his supporters, following his initial declaration to party leaders in Ogun
West Senatorial district last weekend.
The aspirant, a board member of Oil
and Gas Free Trade Zone Authority and a governorship aspirant in 2011, as well
as Senatorial aspirant in 2015, while speaking at the party secretariat during
the formal declaration, said he is more experienced, well equipped and
determined to lead the state right, if giving the opportunity.
He promised to consolidate on the
achievements of the incumbent.
Kuyebi who is being speculated as
the main “Whizkid” with the endorsement of Governor Amosun, appealed to the
party leaders to consider him worthy, after been denied elective positions
twice in the state.
The governorship aspirant who hailed
from Imasayi area of Ogun west commended the governor for deciding to choose a
candidate from the zone, after 40 years of its creation.

leadership of the party again considering my loyalty to the party since the
days of the Alliance for Democracy.
"I am a thorough bread grass
root person who will not derail from making Ogun a better place by
consolidating on the achievements of the sitting Governor.”
Governor Amosun’s elder brother
Alhaji Abidoye Amosun, in his submission at the formal declaration, confirmed
Kuyebi's loyalty to the party, adding that he is competent considering his vast
knowledge in the party and state structure, noting that he will not need much
grooming.
He said "On the subject matter,
Temitope is a good one who already has vast knowledge in the party.
"I pray that you shall succeed
in this journey. We must salute governor Amosun for his decision of choosing
someone from Ogun west even considering the number of candidates who has shown
interest from the axis."
The party's state chairman, Alhaji
Tajudeen Lemboye also backed the popularity of the aspirant, saying Kuyebi is a
well known face in the party.
