The Nigeria Shooting Federation (NSF) has invited 12 shooters from team-Ogun to the national team camp, ahead of the forthcoming Africa Youth Championship in Algeria.
The invitees to the Championship, which will hold between July 16 and 23, include six male Shooters, Odesanya Kayode, Oduntan Olaoluwa, Mustapha Timilehin, Taiwo Oguns, Odufuye Samuel and Gigha Towei.
Female Shooters invited from team-Ogun are Toriola  Temitope , Bakare Abosede, Anifowoshe Tutu, Akinrole Ikimot, Ambali Latifat and Kosebinu Folake.
The 12 invitees are expected to join other eight Shooters in the national team’s camp on May 10 in Kaduna.
Media Officer of the state Shooting Association, Abdulfatai Sobande in a statement said that the Shooters were invited, following the state’s outstanding performance at the recently concluded second edition of the late Major Jo Ojo Shooting Championship in Lagos last April.
Sobande said that the state team emerged overall winners with 11 gold, 10 silver and eight bronze medals ahead of Kano state who garnered five gold, three silver and five bronze as well as host Lagos with five gold, three silver and three bronze medals at the tournament which attracted Shooters from Osun, Jigawa, Kogi, Zamfara as well as Oyo state and the Nigeria Prison Service.
The state Shooting coach, Idris Oguntayo was  voted as the tournament’s best coach.
