Enugu Rangers, this
morning left for Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State for the final phase of their preparation
ahead of the new football season.
The former Nigeria
Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, Rangers announced this on their
verified Twitter handle.
According to the club,
18 players and seven officials departed Enugu for Ijebu-Ode this morning.
They also revealed that
other players who were not in Enugu, will join the team in Ijebu-Ode.
The club says it has
secured a comfortable accommodation at Pebble Suites Hotel, Ijebu Ode.
“18 players and 7
officials left Enugu this morning for the Pre Season camping in Ijebu Ode.
Other players will join the team in Ijebu Ode,” the club’s Tweet reads.
“Goalkeeper James
Aiyeyemi is the first player to arrive our Pebble Suites Hotel, Ijebu Ode for
the Pre Season camping.
“Coach Gbenga Ogunbote
is now at the Pebble Suites Hotel, Ijebu Ode waiting for his players. James
Aiyeyemi is already at the hotel .”
Rangers will open
their NPFL new season campaign with an away tie against Aiteo holders and CAF
Confederation Cup campaigners Akwa United in Uyo on January 14th.
The Flying Antelopes were
crowned NPFL champions last two seasons after over 30-year wait.
