Collaborative effort, responsible for peace in Ogun- CP

The Ogun state Police Commissioner, Ahmed Illiyasu says the collaborative effort of the Police, government and communities is the basis of the peaceful atmosphere in the state.

Illiyasu who made this known at the commissioning of a Police Division headquarter at Aregbe area of Abeokuta, the state capital by the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), said that is why there has not been issue of herdsmen killing farmers in the state.

He added that the collaboration is what has brought up new Area Commands and Divisional headquarters in the state.

The Police boss said that his command is always prepared to work with and for the community in other to bring crime to a zero level, so that all the citizens can sleep with their two eyes closed.

Earlier in his address, the chairman of PCRC in the state Alhaji Ibraheem Olaniyan, urged members and heads of communities not to relent in their efforts to support, assist and cooperate with the Police for security of lives and properties.

Olaniyan promised that the PCRC will continue to give all the necessary support and cooperation to the Police in order to make policing of the state easy.
