Lille manager Christophe
Galtier says Nigerian goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama’s problems with the hierarchy
at the club have denied him a chance to return to the first team squad.
The
former Super Eagles captain has not featured for the first team since he
returned from a cruciate knee ligament injury last November.
He told planetelille.com “I answer you
sincerely, Enyeama’s problem is not a sporting one. It’s one between the club
and the player,”
The
Nigerian has featured in two games for Lille’s B team since he returned to full
fitness, as he was in goal for Lille B in their 3-1 win over Croix Football IC
in the French fourth-tier on 9 December, 2017 and against Viry Chatillon which
ended 3-0 on 24
March.
Enyeama, 35, joined Lille in
2011/12 season and has made 143 Ligue 1 appearances for the club.
The
club is facing relegation in 19th place in the 20 team Ligue 1 table with 29
points from 34 games.
